Snohomish Washington Newborn Photographer ~ Welcome to the world sweet Baby A!

I always consider it such an incredibly huge privilege and honor when I get chosen to be a family’s newborn photographer. It’s such an incredible moment and such a precious time in a family’s life, and for me to be able to capture that tiny moment in time for them is truly an honor and one I take very seriously. I had so much fun photographing this beautiful and absolutely sweet family. The “plan” was also to get big sis, still so little herself at 18 mos., a pose with little baby sis, but it’s always a challenge to get little ones like that before they are around three years old. We kinda lost her by the time we got baby to sleep, but we were able to coax her into a sweet pose by herself as well as one with mom and dad, and we may or may not have used a little gummy treat to do so……(ssshhhh…we will not tell!)

Baby A was the sweetest little angel at 13 days new. I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I have enjoyed producing them! ( and this was supposed to just be a sneak peek, but they are so beautiful I couldn’t stop!)

Dreamy Studio Light and Dreamy Newborn Angel

I recently invested in studio light, since the Seattle gloomy winter days were really starting to make me panic on session days! Even with a mac daddy of a camera, my trusty Canon 5D Mark III, where ISO can be really bumped up high without compromise, I still worried about those grey days that just seemed to cast off colors and tones and messed with my white balance. Plus I was forever having to change my settings through the 3 hour session as the light outside decided to change every few minutes. I’d had enough! So, I jumped into the studio light realm with both feet and I have to say……brace yourself…..that I may never go back to natural light!! (gasp!) Well….I say…never say never….but right now, in this very moment of time, I may not. It was just so easy and so pleasant and so comfortable. I felt like I had been doing it all along. And I felt like a was a missing puzzle piece that I had been searching for! So needless to sat I am in LOVE, and I cannot sing it’s praises enough!

Of course……having this dreamy angel baby as my very first studio light model……made it all the more wonderful. She slept the entire session with one break to nurse, and happily dreamed her way through the rest!
